Family Abuse and Advocacy Support Team Coordinator | Counsellor
Sita is highly motivated and competent in all areas of child and adolescent development, with 20 years’ experience in working across a broad sector of mental health services. Sita has a degree in Counselling and Mental Health with vast experience in working with trauma in children, adolescents and adults. She also has extensive experience in counselling individual clients and family inclusive counselling. Through working in the Kimberley, Sita has sound knowledge of cross cultural understanding and broad experience of working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) individuals.
In her current role Sita coordinates the Family Abuse Advocacy Support Team (FAAST) program. She is highly experienced in delivering therapeutic counselling sessions to help clients gain insight, define goals, examine personal issues, and form a plan of intervention reflecting client’s interests, needs and abilities.
